What is Teething?

Posted by

A simple definition of “teething” is the emergence of teeth from the gums. This can be a difficult time for babies and parents as many infants become quite irritable and unsettled during the teething process.

Most babies begin to teethe between the ages of 6-9 months. At this age they are quite capable of grasping objects and, of course, everything goes into the mouth! The teething process lasts until the child has reached the age of 2 ½ - 3 years of age when they will have their full set of first teeth.

There are several measures which can safely be used to improve the symptoms of teething in your baby. One of these is to provide products which you child is able to chew on to help relieve the discomfort. Jelly Strands offers a wide variety of teething necklaces and bracelets which are fashionable for mom to wear while being completely safe for baby to pull, drool and chew on. For added comfort your Jelly Strands jewelry can be cooled in the freezer or refrigerator before wearing!
